Fluid Metal 3D develops novel technologies through scientific principles, new perspectives and creative thinking.

Our vision is to bring the production of solid metal objects to every desk, providing advanced machining and true metal additive and subtractive capabilities for an affordable price to a small laboratory and company.

3D printers brought a revolution and changed the making game. We have reinvented working with metal to make it easy, fast, safe and at room temperature with a low cost desktop machine.

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

We started putting together a common 3D printer with a pump, glassware, nozzles and plastic pipes.

We added water and common salts, mixed with electronics, software and a lot of chemistry, physics and tests.

The result is our “jet based electrochemical etcher (and 3D printer in the near future)”.

It is capable of removing metal where desired and cutting through solid metal plates.

We have shown it is capable of growing 3D metal structures on metal and plastic substrates according to a design file and are now working to realise the metal 3D printer.
